Hello, I Have A Really Weird Long Taste Bud In

Hello, I have a really weird long taste bud in the middle of my tongue. It happened a while ago (not sure what caused it.) I totally forgot to ask the dentist while they pulled my wisdom tooth out what it could be, but even then they didn't say anything. It lays on my tongue but I can get it to stand up. It's connected on the bottom and it's pink. I'm just not sure what it is or if I should I get it removed.
