Hello, I Have A Right Inoperable Temporal Lobe Tumour And

Hello, I have a right inoperable temporal lobe tumour and I also have severe Depersonalization and Derealization that has ruined my life.. The DP-DR started after I stopped Lorazepam and I've never been the same since, my Neuro team and Neuro Psychiatrist think the tumour and coming of benzos may have triggered the DP-DR but don't believe it's causing the ongoing DR-DR ???? I'm on Lamotrigine now 200mg per day after been taking off benzos and antidepressants as they made me so much more worse.. I had the tumour 6 months and never had DP-DR and then was put on benzos for unexplained symptoms which turned out to be temporal lobe seizures.. Even though TLE can cause episodic DP-DR while having a partial they claim these feelings should only last as long as the partial seizure whereas my DP-DR is 24/7 constant and never goes away... I having CBT at the Kings College Maudsley unit but there baffled why my DP-DR is constant and so disabling.. I never feel real, never feel I'm here and it's like my life and memories before never happened and when I go out everything looks so distorted it terrifyies me... Scariest part is wondering who my family are and how I know them.. They look familiar in a distorted way but I have no idea how I know them.. I could go on describing it forever in detail but this will give you the jest... Cheers... Sam
