Hello. I Have A Tooth Abscess On 1 Of My

Hello. I have a tooth abscess on 1 of my upper back teeth on the right side. The infection had caused my entire right side of my face from the top of my cheek bone to the bottom of my jawline to swell up. I went to the dentist yesterday & was prescribed amoxicillin & 800mg ibuprofen. Will eventually get the tooth extracted. What I'm wondering is I've taken about 3 amoxicillin pills since then as it's directed every 8 hours & have noticed no change to the swelling. Am I being impatient & should wait a few days & when should I expect the swelling to subside? I'm scheduled for another appointment next Tuesday on 11/8/16. Thank you.
