Hello. I Have Been Experiencing Light Bleeding For About A

Hello. I have been experiencing light bleeding for about a week now (since last Sunday) and was expected to get my period on Thursday. Thursday and Friday were heavier bleeding but not as much as my typical period. Furthermore, last month I went straight into my new birth control pack so I skipped my period. Do you have any explanation for the bleeding I have been experiencing this week?
