Hello I Have Been Experiencing Vaginal Burning But No Discharge,I

Hello I have been experiencing vaginal burning but no discharge,I had this same problem about 3 month ago and the doctor who examined me saw yeast and I took canesten. Could it have come back already and what is causing this? I never had an yeast infection before this. I am 46 years old and I had stop taking the pill but my gynecologist told me to start back taking it because I need the harmone replacement. I have not started back as yet and I have not had my period since I stopped about a year ago. Could this be the cause? Thanks in advance.
