Hello, I Have Been Having Continuous Period For About A

Hello,

I have been having continuous period for about a year. It never really stops. Some days it resembles spotting more than menstrual bleeding and for about 3 weeks I would have heavy bleeding. I was prescribed Utovlan, I have taken one tablet this morning and one in the afternoon. I suppose to take one this evening, however I am not sure if I should, as since taking Utovlan this morning and this afternoon my period is very heavy, I am a little concerned. Is this normal? I took progesterone based medication previously (for the same reason - to stop bleeding before a scan)and it only prolonged my period and made it much heavier than usual. After having a scan (last September) my doctor suspicion is that I have a polyp. Would that affect the way Utovlan works?
