Hello, I Have Been Having Issues With My Wrist Hurting

Hello, I have been having issues with my wrist hurting and I'm trying to figure out what it is. Basically the issues seemed to start last a little over a week ago when i would rotate my wrist downward and especially if that was in conjunction with gripping something with my fingers I would start to feel a shooting pain up my wrist and forearm. The pain starts slightly above my wrist and the majority of it runs about 4-5 inches up from my wrist. It is not horrible pain but it is sharp and irritating enough to stop me from doing whatever it is I am doing. Sometimes it seems to extend further up wrapping around about halfway to my elbow. Often times a single action will not trigger much if any pain but for instance typing for too long is starting to irritate it more. A few days ago I picked up a wrist guard at Wallmart to see if that would help and have had mixed results. Sometimes it feels much better than other times it feels like it may not be helping at all. Generally speaking my grip is very strong and that remains the same especially if my wrist is straight. For quite sometime now I have had issues with popping in the same area on my wrist as described above when moving it a certain way but has never really bothered me like this until now. More recently my wrist itself has been popping between my hand and forearm. That can sometimes hurt/ache a little more then once it pops it may take a moment but it is fine. I don't have any issues with numbness in my thumb, index or middle finger. Sometimes my ring finger and pinky go numb but from what I've read that could be another issue I've dealt with for some time that has to do with my elbow (funny bone) nerve. Is this Carpal Tunnel or Tendonitis? Please Help. Thanks!
