Hello. I Have Been Sick For Almost Three Weeks With

Hello. I have been sick for almost three weeks with what I thought was a cold. It started as a sore throat then I had a severe cough with congestion. I still have congestion and an almost irresistible urge to cough or clear my chest. When I sleep I awake from the congestion and feel like I am having difficulty breathing. I have been taking sudafed with limited results. I live in a very humid environment. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow. Any thoughts? Thank You
