Hello, I Have Had 2 Degenerated Disks In My Back

Hello, I have had 2 degenerated disks in my back for a few years now. At times my legs feel so heavy and painful that its hard to walk and cannot even move them. Still waiting to see a specialist to see what can be done. Wondering if the procedure is dangerous.
