Hello. I Have Had A Mirena Coil For The Last

Hello. I have had a Mirena coil for the last 6 years (I'm now 50) to reduce blood loss in menstruation and maintain ferritin levels. It has done both I think but i have never been entirely happy with it - primarily feeling damp all the time and a horrible fishy smell even after a shower. This whole last week I have been plagued with a cystitis like discomfort, horrendous itching and a real feeling of wanting to urinate all the time. I was already thinking of asking my GP (again!) to remove my coil and now I'm even more convinced that it can't be doing any good in there. What would you suggest? Thanks for your time.
