Hello. I Have Had A Cyst At The Base Of

Hello. I have had a cyst at the base of my left nostril for YEARS. Ocassionally, it seems to swell, flare up and cause some pain and sensitivity and then goes away a day or two lat. Every time I would tell my dr. she could not even feel it as it is in such \ha difficult spot. Howver; yesterday was one of the worst, most painful days I have ever had with this thing --- I actually held a heating pad on myface as this cyst was SO sensitive and felt like it had a hearthrob over the front of my face, teeth, nose and eyes. I did not sleep at all last night, and my mouth (top lip) area is very swollen it feels like my eyes are being pulled toward my nose. Already, it has begun to decrease and the pain is abating --- what can I do to prevent this happening again? No one can see it when it doesnt botherme, but when it flares, it is unbearably painful sensitive and swollen!!! Please, please advise.
