Hello, I Have Had Braces For Almost A Year Now.

Hello, I have had braces for almost a year now. Earlier this year I had 4 premolars and 4 wisdom teeth removed. I have major crowding on my upper jaw, and my bottom jaw is straight. Also, my bottom jaw is way larger than my top. Was taking out teeth nessesary?
