Hello I Have Just Been Diagnosed With Type 2 Diabetes

Hello I have just been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes
I did go into hospitalization for almost 5 weeks back to back due to pancreatitis penomia and a diabetic keasidosis
I have always been regular with my period but I'm 2 weeks late I have taken ultrasounds and pregnancy tests and they are negative
Is it normal for my period to stop with insulin and other pills I'm taking? I'm really concerned about what could be the case
Also wondering if maybe I just went through menopause since I am 41 years old
