Hello.
I have lived with Chronic spinal/nerve pain (2 unsuccessful spinal surgeries) for almost 20 years. No breakthrough to improve my quality of life. Last year I was moved off Oxycontin & a clever Doctor got me onto Fentanyl Patches (12.5) & Gabapentin 300mg which are managing my pain more evenly. I have new pain in my back lower left hand side and new pain in my left hip. During this process another Doctor found that my kidney's had lost function down to 39%. I was then put on Cilazapril 5mg Tablets & Plendil 2.5 to manage my blood pressure. All overlooked sadly until too late. This is the short version of my lonely struggle but my question is this - I have gone from severe constipation from the oxycontin to almost daily diarrhoea. I have looked up each drug individually and all may cause it but I assume that the combination of them all are creating daily diarrhoea. Which drug would most likely be the cause? How can I best try to reduce this effect? I know I need a miracle but any help will be greatly appreciated, Tracy (New Zealand)
