Hello. I have pretty severe treatment resistant depression along with clinically diagnosed chronic fatigue syndrome. I have tried so many SSRI's (8 to date - maybe 9) that it is quite obvious to me that they are simply not the answer for me. I have had depression since childhood and I'm just about to give up. I definitely believe that dopamine deficiency is the key for me. I was put on dexedrine and it was as if the first time in my life that I felt normal - and finally had relief for the torment of unrelenting feelings of hopelessness, zero feelings of any type of joy or hope - only bleakness and yet one more day spent hoping and praying to somehow find the strength to keep going. I can't help but wonder why there is not more research in the dopamine connection to severe depression. If anyone can offer advise or knowledge on this please tell me. I really need a bit of hope right now...............I just now realized that I failed to see the cost involved. I don't know why I thought that this was a free site intending to simply help people like me who have lost hope. I can't afford this and am sorry I posted. Just seeking some kind of answers and once again dreading having to face one more day feeling this way. Sorry to have wasted any of you experts valuable time...
