Hello. I Have What I Think May Be A Blood

Hello. I have what I think may be a blood blister behind my ear in the crease. I have fairly commonly gotten zits in that area in the past and this was acting the same as those. In the past month, I noticed this one had deminished in size (flattened) but had never fully gone away. So when I decided to look in a mirror at it today I was surprised to find a very dark red/blackish spot. Before seeing a doctor about it, is there any way I can ease my mind in thinking that it malanoma?
