I recently had a partial hysterectomy, appendectomy, and 9 inch bowel resection surgery due to advanced endometriosis. I am 12 weeks post-op and in the last 3 weeks my pain on the right lower abdomen has intensified greatly. My surgeon thought perhaps I had pulled a muscle. I agreed, however, the pain has not improved over the 3 weeks. Today, I found little bits of what appear to be blue thread in my stool (around 3 pieces of the thread-like material). Is it possible that my sutures have ruptured or are obstructed? I have had no problem with bowel movements--only an increase in pain and now the blue threads.
