Hello, I Recently Had Acl Reconstruction And My Meniscus Trimmed

Hello, I recently had acl reconstruction and my meniscus trimmed on my right knee back on June 22, 2015. I completed my physical therapy and was cleared by my orthopedic doctor to start exercising again. About three weeks ago my knee started popping and causing a pinching sharp pain on the right side of my knee. I saw my doctor this past Friday Oct 23, he took x-rays and did some stability tests and said all seems well. It was not swollen when I saw him but three days later and my knee is now extremely swollen to the extent of me not being able to bend or straighten it completely and I'm having a good bit of discomfort because of it. It's also quite warm feeling when I touch it. Motrin and icing are not helping. Should I return to my doctor immediately? I'm scheduled to see him again on November 17th. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
