Hello. I Stepped On A Very Thick And Large Staple

Hello. I stepped on a very thick and large staple that painters use. Just about the whole staple went into my foot. I didn't bleed to much but 2days later my left jaw hurts and Im having difficulty opening my mouth just to eat. I can talk with no problem. Should I go fora tetanus shot?
