Hello I Still Have A Famous Don't Know I Take

Hello I still have a famous don't know I take that back a titanium rod in my rights tibula from a car accident it is been since 07 it's 2016 current my question is I'm having issues with my leg like it's swelling I can definitely feel there's something in there its turning red why would be causing issues now and not to mention I can barely put any weight down on my foot without feeling like something's trying to come out of it is extremely painful do I have it removed?
