Hello, I Think I Have A Case Of Oral Thrush

Hello, I think I have a case of oral thrush or white-coated tongue. I've been looking stuff up online and it has scared the crap out of me! Everything keeps saying HIV!!! It started about three months ago when I had a horrible sinus infection. I ended up on four different antibiotics and on a round of steroids. At that time I noticed what I thought was thrush and I ate yogurt and it basically went away. Or so I thought. I don't think it ever really went away because my tongue has felt weird ever since. Oddly, I don't have any "cottage cheese looking" stuff on my tongue. It's got like cracks in it and a white like costing/film. Could it be from being a nail biter? Smoker? (I've been smoking a lot more lately...) Or using Listerine two to three times a day regularly for a long period of time? Please help; I never should have searched online...
