I was diagnosed with Mania with psychotic symptoms in 2010.
I remain admitted for four months and was adjusted with medicines including ECT. Most of the medicines were administered for about year plus.
After that sodium valporate was continued...and later reduced to 200 mg 1 tablet per day...which i am taking till date i.e. Nov 205.
I have suffered little hair loss and over weight problems though not severe over these years as side effects.
My question is that ...should this medicine be continued for prolonged duration...what are the associated issues if i take it for long duration....and if it should not be taken for long duration than can i take it sometimes if i feel disturbed.
