Hello, I Was On The Birth Control Pill For A

Hello, I was on the birth control pill for a few months until my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer last year. I stop taking the pills because I'm concern about its relationship to breast cancer. But my dermatologist recommended it along with Spironolactone to help with my acne, so I'm thinking about getting back on it. My question is what's the relationship of the pills to breast cancer? And what's Spironolactone?
