Hello, I Was Wondering If I Could Have Your Advice

I was wondering if i could have your advice on something. I applied Veet shaving cream for men on my genital area a few years ago and got a few red spots, one of them the size of a pound coin, on my belly and the side of my leg close to the genitals. Since then, I have been applying Bio Oil scar treatment lotion on the spots for quite some time, and the appearance of the spots has improved. The puzzling thing is, though, that sometimes they are almost invisible, and sometimes some of them become more visible (I.e. redder). Why do you think that might be? I also stopped using Bio-oil because after all it wasn't prescribed to me by anyone and I am not sure if it is completely safe. Do you think that some complications might develop with time and do u think I should treat the scars with something?
