Hello I Was Wondering When It Would Be Best To

Hello I was wondering when it would be best to discuss surgery options for my knee?
I have petella femoral syndrome and I subluxed my knee going down the stairs. It's been four months and a couple of weeks and I have been in excruciating pain since then! I went to 3 doctors who sent me for an MRI an X-ray a cortisone shot and pt. the cortisone shot worked for four days until I went to pt. the pt said or is making it worse and that he thinks I should get surgery. No pain meds work I tried Tylenol Motrin Motrin 400 motrine 800 naproxen acetametaphin and nothing works to relieve the pain. I ice it and the ice works for maybe a half hour. My knee braces don't feel like they support it and my knee subluxes in them. I haven't slept over 3 hours a night since the incident on November 17th 2015. My doctor says he doesn't see what's wrong on the scans and he doesn't see a reason to go in and do a procedure which would be the MPFL surgery. My pain scale is a 10 it's always a 10 and obviously something is wrong if I'm always in pain please help!
