Hello I Went To My Gynecologist Today And Was Told

Hello I went to my gynecologist today and was told I have fibroids. In the last four months my period changed. It always lasted one week but I had a steady flow each day. Now the first day or two it is very little. In fact it's hard to tell that I am bleeding. Just little spots. Then it's niagra falls. The blood flow gets so intense that I have to wear pants to bed. If I just wear underwear blood gets all over the sheets. My energy level has lowered and also I am not as hungry as I used to be. I have an ultrasound scheduled soon, and a follow up with my doctor. I am just curious about what to expect when the doctor talks to me.
