Hello. I Went To The ER On April 6, 2016

Hello. I went to the ER on April 6, 2016 and was prescribed a diuretic, Hydroclorothiazide 25 mg once daily, which I took for three days but stopped due to never having taken such medication before & disliking the way it made me feel. Then, My PCP prescribed a beta blocker, Metoprolol Tartrate 50 mg once daily, on May 6, 2016 for anxiety & high blood pressure. Today, my PCP called in a prescription for 25 mg to allow me to wean down, however I am concerned about exactly how to do it because I keep reading conflicting information about whether I have to wean or not... All of this is becoming a bit overwhelming and I really need to know the safest & best way to wean off of the Metroprolol. Thank you!
