Hello, If A Patient (42 Years Old, Female) Is Already

Hello,
If a patient (42 years old, female) is already treated for pneumonia (bacterial), all the result (CT, xray, other tests) are ok but she still has 2 symptoms left 1) fewer up to 38.7 C like once a day (taking paracetamol reduce the fewer quickly) and 2) higher white blood cells than expected after 2 weeks hospitalization what could be a possible reason for these 2 symptoms especially higher white blood cells? The doctors wanted to let her go home today, but after reviewing the last blood test result they decided to give here peropenem and keep here in the hospital. The other antibiotics what she takes now by pills is Clindamycind.
