Hello, I'm Hoping Someone Can Help Me. I Had Reconstructive

Hello, I'm hoping someone can help me. I had reconstructive surgery on my right ankle about 7 weeks ago around the 4th week a pea size lump just showed up behind my 5th toe and before my ankle. The lump is very hard and is getting worse. Very painful to the touch and almost like a burning sensation. When I asked my orthopedic surgeon about it he kind of shrugged it off like it was nothing. During the time it appeared I hadn't worn shoes in 4 was and still today I've only worn shoes when I go back to the doctor. Should I be concerned about this? Besides the knot itself I can feel it getting larger under the skin likes it's attaching itself to another area.
