Hello. I'm Sorry This May Be Lengthy But I Have

Hello. I'm sorry this may be lengthy but I have several things going on and wondering if they are related. I went to the ER in March 2014 because I had been having on & off chest pain. They did an EKG and bloodwork and concluded I had not had a heart attack. The ER doctor said it sounded musculoskeletal but suggested I followup with my PCP. My PCP agreed with the ER doctor and said it did not seem cardiac-related. I started taking advil and after a few days the episodes stopped, however about a month later they started again and I had sudden shortness of breath that would also come & go. I saw my pcp again and she asked me several questions and said it sounded like I had acid reflux. I told her I rarely have acid in my throat and she explained some people have "silent reflux" and sent me to a gastroenterologist. I had an endoscopy and the gastro confirmed I had this & esophagitis. He prescribed Omeprazole and suggested I lose weight. He also dilated my esophagitis a little.

I took the Omeprazole about 6 months and was feeling better but I had to discontinue it in October 2014 when I got pregnant. I had a miscarriage but decided to stay off it as I wanted to try to get pregnant again soon. I got pregnant again in Feb 2015 and the only medicine I took during my pregnancy was Methyldopa (I've had chronic hypertension for 10 years/took Lotrel before that). I never had an issue with the acid reflux during pregnancy surprisingly, although I may have and not known if it is "silent" but I mean I never had the issue with breathing difficulty. My bp ran about 140/90 during my pregnancy which was normal pre-pregnancy as well. The doctors at the OBGYN office always chalked it up to me being anxious after my miscarriage. I did suffer a lot of anxiety during my pregnancy, especially during the last trimester if I didn't feel him move when I wanted. The OBGYN tested my urine for protein at each appt. I did have elevated levels twice towards the end but tests always concluded I did not have it. I did a 24 hour urine test once and bloodwork the other time. I don't know if it matters but I also had gestational diabetes but numbers were fine and I never had to take anything for it.

I had my baby about a month ago. I had a C-section because I wasn't dilating very quickly. They gave me medicine to speed it up but it didn't work (iv). I went home after 3 days. I still had quite a bit of swelling and my bp was higher than normal-- about 155/98. I was told it would all normalize. The first day home I started having shortness of breath when I laid down. I let others convince me I was having panic attacks but on the 3rd day it was really bad so I went to the ER. My pulse was really low (41) and my BP was really high (200/105). I had an EKG (fine) and bloodwork. The ER doctor told me I had postpartum cardiomyopathy. He told me it was rare but serious. He told me this hospital couldn't treat me and sent me to another hospital. The other hospital
