Hello, I'm wondering what steps I should take in order to get back to my regular self. For the last 2 weeks I've been stuffy, coughing non-stop even in my sleep, sore raspy itchy dry throat and tongue, lots of nasal snot, and phlegm. I prefer home remedies so I've been drinking tea, lemon, honey and cinnamon. Gargled warm garlic water. No real relief. I've had to sleep with my mouth open because I couldn't breathe through my nose. 2 days ago after further research, i found out that I might be dehydrated (only been drinking tea no water) and that could be the cause of my throat problems. Started drinking 2 liters of water a day since, and most my problems cleared up. Currently I have this terrible cough (but no pain in my throat or itchiness), phlegm, a little stuffy nose, and my biggest problem my uvula is swollen and outstretched. My uvula is touching the back of my tongue. I think that's why I keep coughing. It feels like a noodle just laying there at the back of my throat. Any suggestions on how to reduce the swelling and get rid of this horrendous cough? Thanks in advance.
