Hello I'm writing to ask you a strange question , I was dx with hep c, portal hypertension, cirrhosis, hepatic encephalopathy, renal shunt etc etc. I was dx in 2013 when I went into "coma" due to renal Spenal shunt and ammonia washed over my brain. I was a nurse and had several needle sticks in the 90's, 2 were hep c patients, I had follow up but mono therapy obviously did not help. So I went undiagnosed for years as my internal damage progressed, I was an ER nurse, loved my job, but HE decided against it. So here is my question: I am going to be 67 yrs old, I really would like to know when this path I am on ends. My MD won't answer me, of course why would he? I am becoming more debilitated as time goes on. I take super good care of myself, organic diet, no sodium etc. how much time would one expect to have so I can get the rest of my affairs in order, I have been told I have end stage liver disease, but my meld score is 10 I believe so save the transplants for younger people. I am very accepting of all this cause this is my reality. I just want someone to be real to me and not quote statistics, thank you very much
