Hello. I've Had 3 Bouts Of Tonsillitis In A Matter

Hello. I've had 3 bouts of tonsillitis in a matter for 9 weeks. It consisted of all the typical symptoms such as fever, body aches, throat ulcers etc. I've been on 3-4 courses of antibiotics which put a stop to the ulcers and pain. However I've been left with heavily swollen tonsils on both sides. I can't get food down properly, my voice is weak but most concerning, my throat feels like it's closed up / choking sensation. Which makes sleeping uncomfortable. I can't see an ENT specialist for another 3 months. So what can I do in the meantime to get the swelling down? I've tried everything from salt water, teas and other suggestions I can find online. I need a stronger more permanent solution until I can see the specialist.
