Hello Ive Had A Bad Cold And Really Awful Cough

Hello Ive had a bad cold and really awful cough which is now subsiding for about three weeks - this morning I discovered a red / purple almost bruise like mark on one of my eyelids . It is not painful and I do have watery eyes but this is nothing unusual - could it have happened from all of the coughing on looking closely i can see red thread veins in it . Thankyou and hoping you can help .
