Hello. My 4 Year Old Son Developed Myoclonic Jerks In

Hello. My 4 year old son developed Myoclonic Jerks in July 2015 and diagnosed with generalised epilepsy in November. Epilepsy is not in our family at all. He had his pre school booster in June 2015 and was really poorly with dreadful tonsillitis from January to April 2015, having had 6 episodes of it. Could the tonisillitis have caused his epilepsy or his vaccines? He started on Epilim but is now on Lamotragine as Epilim has no effect and he's still having seizures and can have up to 25 a day. Back in November he was having 50 a day. He is yet to have an MRI scan. His behaviour can be challenging to say the least. His tonsils are huge and virtually meet. Could this be something that causes his epilepsy?
