Hello, My 7 Month Old Son Was Diagnosed With Bronchiolitis

Hello,

My 7 month old son was diagnosed with bronchiolitis and was prescribed prednisone, azithromycin and albuterol. A couple days after his diagnosis, his wheezing became worst so we took him to the ER, they adminstered breathing treatments and told us to suction frequently and discontinue the prednisone because there are no benefits of using it with this viral condition. A couple days after our ER vist, our son had presented a fever for 24 hours and his wheezing/breathing had worstened, so they admitted my son to the hospital and gave him prednisone and albuterol. When he was discharged the next day they told us to discontinue the prednisone and use the albuterol as needed. The next day after he was discharged his wheezing worstened. My question is, should we go back on the prednisone and if so for how many more days? He seems to get worst every time we discontinue using it. Thank you!
