Hello,
My 72yr old friend is fighting lymphoma at Sloan. I know that his bone marrow test was worse than expected....I know that he is getting over pneumonia and pleural effusion, they just took the chest tube out today. I know he had been off chemo & on some alernative meds, but becaue he got so bad, they admitted him, drained the fluid, gave him a blood transfusion, gave him platelets, now a hemoglobin infusion, and started chemo while he still had pneumonia....they are taking more blood tests today, he's been fighting this for 2yrs.....I don't know if it's his dr., or him not saying how bad it is...Is it possible being so sick to recover from this if the bone marrow is so bad that it can't get his blood count up? His numbers are very low in spite of all they're doing,
