Hello. My Husband Injured A Rib 30 Years Ago Shoveling

Hello. My husband injured a rib 30 years ago shoveling snow. His bottom right rib "popped" outward and has been like that for years. Just yesterday he reinsured it, playing soccer. He felt a twinge and pain and it looks and feels like the rib/ribs have shifted more so. The area is very sore to the touch. It hurt at all times and is worse when he coughs or moves a certain way (pulling, lifting etc). What type of a doctor should my husband consult with for this condition? Thank you.
