Hello. My Mother In Law Had Back Surgery In 2002

Hello. My mother in law had back surgery in 2002 they fused her 3rd,4th,5th lumbar vertebra and she still has titanium hardware in her back as they never took it out or said it needed to come out. She started having seizures in 2004. She has had 3 major seizures that have put her in the hospital in the since 2004 that is when she had her first seizure. She has busted her head open each time and had to have stitches and staples. In 2005 one Dr. said the lining of her brain was shrinking and he felt that was causing the seizures. They put her on Dilantin and she didn't have another seizure. After two years a new Dr. weened her off the med's and she didn't have any seizures until 2011. That seizure and the ones since have been at home while she was in bed or in her bedroom. She hasn't had one that we know of since Jan 2015 but she could have them in her sleep and we would not know it. In January of 2015 She had a seizure at work and fell in the parking lot and broke her left orbital and had a brain bleed, and sinus fracture, She has permanent damage to her left eye. In Nov. of 2015 she tried to commit suicide by drinking 180 proof alcohol and a bottle of pills she got from someone. I found her and got her help at a facility near our home and they put her on Mirtazapine 15 mg 1 tab at bedtime and Escitalopram Oxalate 20 mg 1 Tab by mouth each morning. She was there for 3 weeks and they helped alot. She still drinks beer occasionally. But She cant be left at home by herself overnight, she will go by a bottle of whiskey or 3 and drink them all. So she lives with My husband and I so she isn't alone. So this morning around noon we were getting ready to go to religious services and she came into our room and her speech was very slow, she couldn't walk straight, she had gotten herself dressed and looked fine, she was ready to go and didn't recognize anything was wrong. We looked at her and my husband immediately thought she was drunk because of the way she carried herself. She was drooling from one side of her mouth, her eyes look clear but they aren't following right, i'ts like she has to think a minute before she can follow a command or do or say anything. We know what she smells like and acts like when she is drunk and she isn't acting or smelling like that. She has certain key words she says every time she is drunk, or lying, we've been thru it a million times, she isn't drunk or lying. I mean if she drinks any type of alcohol, the smell seeps thru her skin. Its like her liver is saturated big time. She has been complaining the last few days that her lower back has been hurting, and she took 500 mg of aleeve the last three days in a row. She said she is tired and feels like if she slept more maybe they symptoms would go away because she doesn't necessarily feel bad. I'm just wondering if this could be mini strokes, a precursor to a stroke, precursor to a bad seizure. I feel like she needs to go to the er she doesn't want to go because she doesn't have insurance. Please give me some input. I checked her bp and sugar at 12:30 pm her bp was 117/83 pulse was 84 her sugar was 108 . I've been observing her sleeping for 2 hours now, so far there hasn't been any seizure activity that I could see.
