Hello, My Mother Is 73 Years Old And Her Medical

Hello,
My mother is 73 years old and her medical conditions include diabetes, htn, afib, and copd, She has been taking the same medications for quite a long time without problems. Over the last few days she has had several episodes of thinking other people are in the house. She even stated that she saw my dad one time yesterday but he has been deceased for 2 years. She also thinks that we have been to church when we haven't and thinks that II have gone places that I haven't. Her vitals are good, oxygen level in the high 90's and sugars less than 150. I checked her urine for an infection but it was completely normal. She eats well and drinks a lot of water. She also eats a lot of ice. The only thing as far as diet goes is that she told me that she has eaten a package of saltine crackers evey day this week. Needless to say with chf I have asked her to stop that. Could a high sodium level cause this? I have asked her many questions and she knows the answers without thinking so she is not confused in that way. I hate to take her to the ER but her doctor is out of the office until Tuesday. Any suggestions?? I really appreciate your time. Thank you.
