Hello, My name is Neha, I am 21 years old. I have been diagnosed for H. Pylori bacteria infection after an endoscopic examination and have been recommended HP Kit containing amoxicillin, omeprazole, and tinidazole as active ingredients by my doctor. As per my regular periodic date, I was supposed to have my periods (menstruation) on 8th March 2016 but I have missed it. I have got a positive results using the urine pregnancy test kit. Later I discovered that a false positive results are also shown when a person is on medication including amoxicillin, tinidazole and omeprazole as these medicines increase the level of hCG in the body which plays the key role in detecting pregnancy via home pregnancy test kit. Hence I am confused whether I am pregnant or not. Even I had a sonography test on 5th March 2016 which had shown no pregnancy signs. Please suggest the minimum days after which a sonography test could reveal a pregnancy. Please reply soon as I have also read that tinidazole and omeprazole are not good to consume during pregnancy so I will have to stop them. Also to think on this unplanned pregnancy it is very important to confirm it first.
