Hello. My names Michael. All my life Ive had a lack of drive, energy, and struggled with binge eating and maintaining a healthy weight. Through my independant studies and awareness of hormones, medicine (both east and west), behaviors, and addictions I've come to the conclusion I most likely suffer from low dopamine levels. I do have a short attention span but never cared much for the ADD label since I never had to focus on one thing for too long to get it done. I looked into the dopamine diet and notice my favorite foods are even on that list. Oysters, avocado, seaweed, etc. Ive been taking L-tyrosine in rounds on and off for a couple years and noticed it helps. I was put on an SSRI in high school and hated it. Ive tried 5-htp and it made me feel "off", but these are people with low serotonin levels so these reasons and others are how I came to this conclusion. I have two friends who are in college and have let me try their 70 mg vyvanse and for the first time found something that made me feel like i had a normal amount of drive, appetite, focus, energy and even social skills as I tend to not want to engage in much conversation. I tried adderal and did not care for them. The tablets make me feel worse as they wear off and the timed released had little to no effect on me. I do smoke and am a social drinker, but have no history with drug abuse. I'll admit Ive tried them all and will still use cannabis a couple times a week to wind down before bed and about every quarter use the occasional entheogen for spiritual purposes. I do not have any illnesses or allergies. With this said, can you help?
