Hello My Period Was Delayed For Two Days, I Took

Hello
My period was delayed for two days, i took pregnancy test and it came negative so i sarted taking duphaston. However my period started before completing duphaston pills as i still had 3 days to complete the pills. Can i know what might be the problem. I am having painful cramps also
