Hello, Seven Years Ago I Received A SLAP Tear Injury

Hello,
Seven years ago I received a SLAP tear injury to my left shoulder. I didn't have surgery but I was in PT for a few months. After a year or two my shoulder didn't bother me much, but about two months ago I noticed a pain in the left side of my neck that radiated to my shoulder blade. It almost feels like a strained muscle or a kink you get when you sleep in the wrong position. When I inhale deeply I can feel the muscle in my shoulder blade pulling. It feels nice to stretch these muscles but nothing seems to allievate the pain completely. Is this something that relates back to my SLAP tear or could it be entirely different issue? Maybe overuse of my arm? I do work in a job that demands heavier lifting and overhead motions.
I'd like to know a treatment, if any, that will allow some of my discomfort to ease until I can make it back into my Sports Medicine doctor. Stretching and anti inflammatories aren't doing the trick.
Thank you in advance!
