Hello. The White Of My Eye Is Very Red, But

Hello. The white of my eye is very red, but not swollen. There is mild tearing, but no "goop." I'm trying to figure out if what I have is pink eye, and if so, how long will it last? I am taking senior pictures on Oct. 2, and I would not want to have a red eye in my pictures
