Hello. When My Belly Button Was Cut At Home A

Hello. When My belly button was cut at home a phew months later I developed a hernia and my mum took me to the doctors but they said it was harmless and that its best to let it go away itself. After a couple of weeks my belly button reduced in size dramatically however I'm now 17 and I've been left with a small sticking out "Bean size" belly button. Not only do I not like how it looks but I find it to be quite sensitive especially when sat in a car when the seatbelt rubs on it. I just want to know if I can get rid of this belly button and get a normal belly button? Thank you.
