Hello and thank you for the forum. First of all I'm one of the most tested individuals arounds. I have multiple good insurances along with a Medicare supplement so all doctors and clinics have no problems with ordering tests. First my complicteded background. I had a fall in 2004 in which I exploded my hip socket and snapped my femur into. Small town doctor with the surgeon on call to preform the emergency surgery because of delays and possibility of blood clots. There was no time to airlift me to the tramua center at The University of Tennesee 20 minutes, Instead of a hip replacement since I was 50 years old at the time, they did an interchanteric hip procedure which involved multiple screws, plates. I was shorted one inch in length and misaliged.terribly. Chronic pain ,pill mill doctors, physical therapy and now I'm on a legimate low-dose Comprehensive Pain clinic, I start to develop`intense foot and hand problems last year that were not really muscle related. I knew about night time muscle cramps and spasms from years of construction work but these were differernt. It felt like the ligaments and tendons were actually be shortened and were causing my fingers annd toes to curl and lock in position. It got worse and affected my calves and wrists. I had to obligatory 2nd opinion from another neurologist and he seemed to think I did not have ALS yet he prescribed` me 10mg of Baclofen three times a day and said he would see me again in six months. I've had MRIs on my lumbar region,` cervix region, X-rays of thoracic spine and ribs, and an MRI with dye because of a prolacticanoms on my pituitary gland. All these other problems make systom ID difficult. Meanwhile the numbness, tinging in my hands and feet is increasing. I ready to go back to thae first doctor who diagnosed me but have concerns he may resent me going elsewhere, but my condition seems to be following the ALS
