Hello Dr I Had A Tonsillectomy 3 Weeks Ago And

Hello dr i had a tonsillectomy 3 weeks ago and a blue stitch is still at the site, the problem now is i feel the place is getting infected because there's accumulation of this whitish stuff i have to take off daily,just like the tonsil stone but smaller,and the pain subsided for a while but its now back,I can't seem to get hold of an ent specialist because the surgery was done in another country,should i try removing it myself?
