Hello, I Have Broken My Toe 5 Weeks Ago. Went

Hello, i have broken my toe 5 weeks ago. Went to the doc, got it treated, buddy taped it for 3 straight weeks just like the doc instructed me. It really improve. I can walk almost perfectly now so about 2 weeks ago I abandoned the buddy taping technique and I still haven't gotten any pain or anything. Although it's improved, I still can't fully bend my toe after now 5 weeks. Here are my two questions: does it take that long for a big broken toe to fully heal? Also I have started to see peeling of the skin on that toe. Not painful at all. Just a little bit of skin peeling off. Is it normal for a healing toe or is that indicative of something abnormal in the healing process? Thanks.
