Hello, I Just Lost A Tooth That My Dentist Said

Hello, i just lost a tooth that my dentist said is supposed to come out, because a tooth is growing above it, but when it came out it split in half, and now my gum is dangling there, and i can feel the tooth coming in behind it.. Why are my gums ripped off??
